"Thank A Lineman" License Plate
Representatives with Georgia’s electric membership cooperatives, Electric Cities of Georgia and Georgia Power have joined together to present the state’s first vehicle license plate to honor linemen.
Proceeds benefit the Burn Foundation of America, which provides assistance to burn patients and their families at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Last year the Burn Foundation:
- Assisted 1,858 burn patients and their families.
- Provided 6,817 nights of free lodging.
- $96,286 was spent on patient assistance.
A minimum contribution of $25 to the Burn Foundation will trigger a waiver of the Department Of Revenue’s one-time $25 manufacturing fee. A receipt will be emailed to you by the Burn Foundation to take to your local county tag office when you pick up your Thank A Lineman plate.
